Wazzup?

Sorry for the lack of updates again but things have been pretty hectic. Anyway, here's what's been keeping me busy the past couple of weeks:

- Andy project - Andy (Shinhwa member) hurt his back around a month ago and the international Shinhwa forums decided to do an Andy project, wherein the fans send cranes (origami) and get well chuva to him. Well, me being the "not-so-patient-one", I didn't make any cranes (and it was during the SEA games thingie), opted to look for other stuff to contribute. The Pinoy Shinhwa fans were able to send 1,200 cranes, a t-shirt, a CD, a scrapbook, and 2 parols. Here's hoping that he actually gets it!
- Finally!!! Volcano High DVD!!! been wanting to locate one ever since Patty got me the VCD a couple of years ago. Since the movie was based on a manga, I'm assuming that the story suffered a lot (as with other manga to movies) but what the heck! the effects were cool and they had cool clothes (loved the Kendo team's uniform and Shin Mina's school unifom) and it had Jang Hyuk and Kwon Sang Woo. Hehe! I think my brain just turned to mush.



- Was able to watch Dragon Squad. woot! Vanness is sooooo hot! and the fact that Shawn Yue was also in the movie didn't hurt. The movie had a bit of violent scenes that I would have rather not seen but other than that, it was ok. I would have preferred if the younger stars had more action scenes, instead of just looking good when they did their poses. Sammo Hung and the Korean actor that played his nemesis did most of the action scenes.


- Last Friday, our office had our Christmas party at Bykes Cafe in Makati. Our theme: the 80s. The era of bad hair, bad clothes but awesome music. Anyway, I won the best in costume - female category. I didn't think I looked particularly authentic but I'm not complaining! I got a cash prize that will definitely help me this season.

I also got a service award for having been in the company for 5 years. Guess it was my night then, huh?

- My family went out to dinner last night with some people from Kikka's gym. The Romanians: Petre and Lili, along with her husband Traian, were all flying back to Romania on Dec. 23 and my parents decided to take em out for dinner at Kamameshi. My family (7), the Romanians (3), were joined by another family (5), also from the gym. As luck would have had it, Kamameshi had only like 3 people working that night (there was a catering thingie) so needless to say that it was kind of slow but still good as I love Kamameshi rice so the wait was worth it.

- Still bummed that my Epik High CD from Pops in Seoul is still nowhere to be found. :( I already e-mailed the show but they haven't replied yet. Katie also sent me something but it's not yet here. Now I'm worried that the token that Arirang sent me for participating in the mnet poll will suffer the same fate. sigh!!! 3 packages for me, lost in the abyss we call the post office. Maybe they are just delayed since they got caught in the Cristmas rush. I just hope they aren't mangled when they do arrive.

- I think my being addicted to the House series is making me a hypochondriac 9did i even spell it right?). I've been feeling all these aches and pains. I went to the doctor yesterday and he thinks that with my symptoms I might have carpal-tunnel syndrome. sheesh!! will know more in a couple of weeks.
