The countdown begins

Now I realize how true it is when people say that it is the waiting that kills them. Eversince I have finished all the arrangements for our trip to Singapore to watch Shinhwa, I have been on pins and needles. Having paid everything that needed to be paid (my poor wallet), there was nothing left for me to do but wait. I think August is the loooooongest month for me this year. I can't wait for next week! I will finally make one of my goals (to watch a live Shinhwa concert) become a reality. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I'm acting like a lunatic these days. sheesh!

Aside from being a Shinhwa fan, I also like a lot of other Korean artists. Fly to the Sky is probably second on my list of faves (remember one of my earlier posts where I took the Kpop husband quiz and I got Brian? That's the group he belongs to). So aside from Shinhwa CDs, I have a lot of FTTS CDs. Sigh! I miss the old SM Town when both groups were part of it. Anyway, as a FTTS fan, I am of course a member of a forum dedicated to them. It is called Heavenly-Sent. It's a great forum because it really caters to non Korean fans of the group. I hope you join coz I'm a mod there. lol! Ok back to the story, when FTTS had a concert in Korea, they were also selling FTTS shirts there that had autographs of the guys on the back. Someone from the forum managed to get PFull (FTTS' new management company) to sell some of the shirts to non Korean fans. Unfortunately, the shirt costs around US$45 (i think) so I couldn't afford to order. Well 2 of the Admins of the forum, Maria and Shelley (thanks you guys!), knew that I didn't order, so they decided to buy 1 for me. So last night, a package from my aunt in the US arrived and lo and behold! It's the shirt!!!!!

So after taking pictures of the shirt, it is now in my magic baul, along with all my precious Kpop stuff.

Wow! 5 already? Let's enumerate:

Yes you read it right! I was able to stalk Eugene of SES. All thanks to Eve (halafyu!), who suddenly texted me and Tina and told us to get our butts to ABS. So we left our bosses our excuses and rushed off to ABS.

Right after we met Eve, she lead us to the lobby where the people who were waiting for Eugene were being gathered. We positioned ourselves as best as we could and waited for Eugene's arrival. After numerous neck twisting exercises (there were a lot of video cameras and me and Tina didn't want to see our faces on the news), she arrived.


Ah! She's so pretty!

OMG! Boy, was she pretty. You know how there are celebrities who look good on TV but aren't as good looking off camera? Well Eugene wasn't like that. She looked exactly the way she looks on TV. She was like a breath of fresh air, all smiling and making eye contact with people. She was a bit small (I heard from 1 of the organizers say she was only 5'1") but everyone was mesmerized by her (and her "is she wearing make-up" look). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get too close because everyoone suddenly lunged forward with their digicams and mobile phones.

Luckilly, Tina (who decided to capture the event via video mode) got a lot of footage and Eve, was both able to take pictures and hand Eugene our gift of Dried mangoes (which Tina was able to buy despite the short notice). Patty and Cherry were also there and both had pics in their digicams as well.

After a couple of minutes, Eugene's group was ushered to the studio. Cherry took my photobook to try to ask Eugene to sign it at the interview she and Patty were attending. Eve had to go back to work, so Tina and I just amused ourselves talking about stuff.

After the interview, we met up with Cherry and Patty. Sad to say, the handlers were strict and they weren't able to ask Eugene for an autograph. Anyway, Eve suggested that we could try to wait by the lobby again because that was where Eugene would pass to leave ABS. Since Patty had to get back to work, Cheery, Tina and I whiled the time away just chatting about random stuff. After an hour or so, Eve texted us that Eugene was finished. We positioned ourselves in the hallway before the lobby, me in full resolve to get Eugene's autograph. When Eugene and company arrived, I just mustered up the courage to approach her with my SM photobook (with her full page photo) and say "Chebal........ sign...... eegeot...." The pinoy guard blocked me with his arm and said that Eugene was already late for her schedule, but luckilly enough, Eugene thought otherwise, and held her hand out for the marker. As she was signing, the marker couldn't write! Luckily, Tina had her pen out and she gave it to Eugene, who used it to sign the photobook. After thanking and bowing to her, she smiled and left, with the crowd milling after her.

Professional Stalkers

Though we didn't get to have our picture taken with her, Tina and I felt very satisfied with our stalking escapade. I just wish I'd be as lucky in Singapore on September. ^^

신화 shinhwa & cyworld

- I can't believe it! I'm actually going to watch their concert. after how many years of wishing, its finally coming true! 신화 shinhwa will be having a concert in SIngapore and Ia and I are going. We already have our plane tickets and have made confirmed booking for our lodgings and paid for the tickets. Wake me up when September arrives. ^^
